The residents of Forestdale are very passionate about keeping our bush and wildllife preserved.
The Forestdale Bushcare group get together once a month to look after the fauna and flora around our parks and bushland. This activity is coordinated with the Logan City Council who provide all of the support, equipment and new plants of course.
Working bees are held once a month, which are normally on the second Sunday morning from 8 am to 10 am. Locations and meeting points are advised in the Bush Telegraph and on Facebook.
The latest Bushcare project has been creating new plantings at Dickman Park down beside Oxley Creek. Council has prepared new mulched areas which will be planted in October and November 2015. Please see the Gallery for photos.
All new comers are welcome to join in and participate. What a great way to meet your neighbours too. Remember, we finish with a hearty morning tea and refreshments.
